We took the Mission-Directed Work Teams program (MDW) on the road by taking part in the International Conference on ISO 9000 / Lean & Six Sigma sponsored by the American Quality Institute. The conference, in Orlando this year, attracted participants from around the world. Interest in our approach to creating lean work systems, that really involve the employees, was evident as scores of conference delegates visited with us and requested more information. Plans to paricipate in future conferences, of this type, are on the books for 2010.
