Each level and team in the organization tracks certain key performance measures. These are: Quality Speed Cost Safety People
HOW IS THIS DONE?
A clear “line of sight” is established between the organizational strategy and the contribution of each team. Goals are determined for each performance measure. Triggers (corrective action deployment) are also set to provide quick and decisive problem solving and solution implementation. Measures and improvement actions are reviewed daily by each team in short pre-shift meetings.
WHAT ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY?
Performance measures demonstrate how we are doing. By creating a ‘visual workplace’ all can see and track; daily, weekly and monthly performance. In a visual workplace, poor performance is hard to hide and good performance properly recognized.
WHAT ABOUT TRAINING ?
Formal training is conducted with:
leadership group (who create the working environment for becoming a world class organization)
process facilitators (to enable the organization itself to manage the ongoing implementation of the program)
first line team leaders (who are the key personnel charged with fostering commitment of the people and implementing the improved processes)
teams (through in-house trainers, appropriate and specific training for teams is cascaded throughout the organization).
Training is of short duration with “on the job” application and coaching.
WHAT ABOUT TRAINING MATERIAL?
Support training material includes manuals and workbooks, facilitator guides, training slides (on compact disk or transparencies), and laminated posters. Our consultants are knowledgeable and seasoned and will assist you with any questions, which may arise.
IS MDW SUSTAINABLE?
Absolutely! This is definitely not the flavor of the month. MDW provides the structure, training, materials and support necessary to ensure sustainability. A key feature of MDW is formal external and/or internal audits, carried out regularly, to ensure the application of the new skills and the enculturation of those already learned. Each level of the organization is audited to help support this new, world class environment
